November 24th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Dublin Motor Speedway located in Dublin, NC. on Saturday November 24th for a unsanctioned Super Late model event paying $5,000 to win. Jeff qualified 9th and as the green flag fell Jeff started to make his way toward the front. As the checkered flag fell Jeff was able to bring home a strong 2nd place finish.

November 11th
- Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, SC. on Sunday November 11th for a Southern Allstar Series event paying $10,000 to win. A broken water pump and a busted radiator during the heat race would end the night for Jeff Smith Racing.

November 4th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, SC. on Sunday November 4th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $1,500 to win. Jeff started 3rd in the feature and was able to bring home a strong 2nd place finish.

November 1st, 2nd, 3rd
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Lowes Motor Speedway "The Dirt Track" on Thursday November 1st, Friday November 2nd, and on Saturday November 3rd for two World Of Outlaw Late Model Series events paying $10,000 to win each. Jeff showed and strong performance in his heats, but on these nights Jeff Smith Racing had to settle for a DNS.

October 27th
- Jeff Smith Racing was scheduled to roll into the Fayetteville Motor Speedway on Saturday October 27th for a unsanctioned $4,000 to win Super Late Model event. However the event had to be canceled due to the amount of rain the Speedway has taken.


October 20th - Jeff Smith Racing competed at Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, SC. on Saturday October 20th for a Southern Allstar East Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff qualified 10th and had advanced to 4th in the feature when mechanical failures occurred. This would result in a DNF for the night.

October 13th - Jeff Smith Racing competed at Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, SC. on Saturday October 13th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $2,000 to win. Jeff started 4th in his heat and as the green flag fell Jeff made his way toward the front and captured the lead. Jeff went on to win his heat and earn the outside pole starting position for the feature. As the feature got under way Jeff took complete control of the lead and went flag to flag to pick up the win.

October 12th - Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Thunder Valley Speedway located in Lawndale, NC. on Friday October 12th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $1,500 to win. On this night Thunder Valley Speedway had no choice, but to cancel the race due a problem that was occurring with the lights.

October 10th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Lowes Motor Speedway "The Dirt Track" located in Charlotte, NC. on Wednesday October 10th for a World Of Outlaw Super Late Model Series event paying $10,000 to win. While going for the transfer spot during the heat race Jeff and another car got together. Jeff had to work his way back from the rear to the front in just a few laps, but Jeff only could manage to come up with a 5th place finish. After finishing 5th in the heat; It would earn Jeff the 3rd place starting spot in the consi. During the consi Jeff had to go pit side due to a flat left rear tire. This would end the night for Jeff Smith Racing which would result in a DNS.

October 6th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday October 6th for Twin 25's paying $2,500 to win each race. However the event was rained out.

October 5th
- Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Dublin Motor Speedway located in Dublin, NC. on Friday October 5th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff qualified 5th and as the green flag fell Jeff had his sights set on that number one spot. Around the half way point of the race Jeff took the lead and held on for the win.

September 29th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday September 29th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $8,000 to win. After not making the transfer through qualifying; Jeff had to race his way into the feature event by running a heat race. Jeff started on the outside pole of his heat race and when the green flag fell Jeff took complete control of the lead and went on to win his heat. After winning the heat Jeff earned the 10th place starting position in the feature event. The feature event consisted of 60 laps. When the green flag fell Jeff was on a mission. Jeff worked the bottom and topside of the Speedway passing cars and making his way toward the front. Jeff took complete control of the lead in the closing laps and went on to win.

September 22nd
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday September 22nd for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $2,500 to win. Jeff qualified 7th and when the green flag fell Jeff tried to make his way toward the front, but a broken fan blade and busted radiator would end his night. In the end Jeff Smith Racing had to settle for a DNF.

September 21st
- Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Thunder Valley Speedway located in Lawndale, NC. on Friday September 21st for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $2,000 to win. Jeff qualified on the pole and won.

September 15th - Jeff Smith Racing competed at Wythe Raceway located in Rural Retreat, VA. on Saturday September 15th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff qualified 4th. As the checkered flag fell Jeff was able to bring home a strong 2nd place finish.

September 14th - Jeff Smith Racing was scheduled to be at Thunder Valley Speedway located in Lawndale, NC. on Friday September 14th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $1,500 to win however the event was rained out.

September 8th - Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday September 8th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $5,000 to win. Jeff qualified 3rd and as the green flag fell Jeff had his eyes set on that number one spot. At just a little over half way Jeff captured the lead and remained out front till 3 laps to go. With 3 laps remaining Jeff had to go pit side due to a flat right rear tire. In the end Jeff Smith Racing had to settle for a 14th place finish.

September 2nd
- Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, SC. on Sunday September 2nd for a Southern Allstar East Series event paying $10,000 to win. On this night Jeff piloted the Freddy Smith Racing #00 entry. After coming from the rear and having a flat tire; Jeff was able to bring home a strong 7th place finish.

September 1st
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Harris Motor Speedway located in Harris, NC. on Saturday September 1st for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff was able to bring home a 5th place finish in the end.

August 31st - Jeff Smith Racing was scheduled to be at Thunder Valley Speedway located in Lawndale, NC. on Friday August 31st for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $1,500 to win however the event was rained out.

August 25th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Carolina Speedway located in Gastonia, NC. on Saturday August 25th for the Skyler Trull Memorial Super Late Model event paying $10,000 to win. Jeff qualified 5th and ended up 3rd as the checkered flag fell.

August 24th
- Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Thunder Valley Speedway located in Lawndale, NC. on Friday August 24th for the Grassy Smith Memorial Super Late Model event paying $5,000 to win. After qualifying out of the top 6th; Jeff had to compete in a heat race to make his way into the feature event. Jeff started 4th in the heat and finished 1st. This would earn Jeff the 7th place starting position in the feature later that night. Jeff was able to bring home a strong 4th place finish in the end.

August 18th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Toccoa Motor Speedway located in Toccoa, GA. on Saturday August 18th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff qualified 4th and finished 4th.

August 17th
- Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Thunder Valley Speedway located in Lawndale, NC. on Friday August 17th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $1,500 to win. Jeff qualified on the pole and finished a strong 2nd place finish.

August 11th

August 4th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday August 4th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff qualified 7th. As the green flag fell confusion among the leaders caused a pile up on the first lap in the first turn. Jeff had no where to go and was involved in the wreck. Jeff had to go pit side to the attention of the crew. The car had major body and suspension damage. Jeff returned to the track and held on the best he could with the damage for a 4th place finish.

July 21st
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday July 21st for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $2,000 to win. Jeff qualified on the pole and as the green flag fell; Jeff took complete control of the lead and went flag to flag to pick up the victory.

July 14th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Travelers Rest Speedway located in Travelers Rest, SC. on Saturday July 14th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff qualified 8th in time trials. As the green flag fell Jeff started to make his toward the front, but a few cars got tangled up in front of Jeff and caused a multi car pile up; Jeff had no where to go. After getting involved in the wreck; Jeff fought handling problems all night due to some bent suspension on the front end. Jeff was able to make his way to 3rd until the suspension problems became worse. Once the problems became worse Jeff had to retire from the race.

July 7th
- Jeff Smith Racing was scheduled to be at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday July 7th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $5,000 to win. However the event was rained out.

July 3rd
- Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Cherokee Speedway located in Gaffney, SC. on Tuesday July 3rd for a Southern Allstar East Series event. Due to the work load at J&J Race Cars; Team Jeff Smith Racing was late on arrival on this night to the Cherokee Speedway. Jeff missed hot laps, qualifying, and had to start a consi from the rear in order to try to make into the feature event. Jeff came all the way from the rear to the lead in the consi and captured the win to transfer onto the feature event and earn the 11th place starting position. As the green flag fell Jeff had his eyes set on that number one spot as he made a charge to the front. Jeff made the pass for the 2nd position with two laps to go and made a hard charge for the lead, but on this night Jeff Smith Racing had to settle for a 2nd place finish.

June 30th - Jeff Smith Racing traveled to Laurens County Speedway located in Laurens, SC. on Saturday June 30th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff qualified 8th in time trials. Passing was at a premium all night. Jeff got into a few incidents trying to avoid other wrecks, but nothing to serious. In the end Jeff was able to bring home a 7th place finish.

June 23rd - Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Lancaster Speedway located in Lancaster, SC. on Saturday June 23rd for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff qualified 6th in time trials. At the start of the race Jeff battled to make his way toward to front. With only 4 laps left Jeff had to retire from the event due to over heating problems.

June 22nd
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Friday June 22nd for a NARA Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series event paying $10,000 to win. Jeff ended up 7th in qualifying in which would earn him the pole for the 3rd heat. As the green flag fell in the heat; Jeff took complete control of the lead and captured the win. After the heat and drawing order among the heat winners; Jeff was set to roll off 4th in the feature event later that night. The feature consisted of 50 laps and when the green flag fell Jeff had his eyes set on that number one spot. It didn't take long and Jeff captured the lead and went on to claim victory with the NARA Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series and claim a $10,000 pay day.

June 16th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday June 16th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $2,500 to win. It was a tough qualifying run on this night for Jeff Smith Racing due to the roughness of the track. Jeff ended up 18th in qualifying. As the green flag fell on the 25 lap event Jeff made his way to the front. Around lap 10 Jeff was sitting in 3rd place when he had to go pit side due to a cut down left rear tire. The crew went to work and got Jeff back out quickly. Jeff had to restart the race from the rear after already coming all the way up from the rear. As the green flag fell for the final 15 laps Jeff made a charge to the front. Jeff would make his way all the way back from the rear once again and take complete control of the lead as laps counted down. Jeff held on to the top spot then to take home the victory. 

June 15th
- Jeff Smith Racing was scheduled to be at I-77 Speedway located in Chester, SC. on Friday June 15th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $2,200 to win. However the event was canceled due to the weather.

June 9th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Wythe Raceway located in Rural Retreat, VA. on Saturday June 9th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff qualified 3rd and as the green flag fell Jeff quickly made a charge to the front. Jeff challenged for the lead several times, but lap cars would slow him down. Jeff was able to hold on for a very strong 2nd place finish as the checkered flag fell.

June 2nd
- Jeff Smith Racing was scheduled to be at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday June 2nd for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $4,000 to win. However the event was rained out.

May 25th
- Jeff Smith Racing rolled into I-77 Speedway located in Chester, SC. on Friday May 25th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $5,000 to win. Jeff qualified 3rd and was able to bring home a strong 2nd place finish as the checkered flag fell.

May 19th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday May 19th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $3,000 to win. Jeff ended up 6th in qualifying. As the green flag fell Jeff made his way to the front and he did so in a hurry. On lap six Jeff was challenging for the lead when Jeff and the leader got together. This would send Jeff spinning. Jeff was sent to the rear. Jeff made his way back to the front passing cars one by one. With 3 laps remaining Jeff passed the leader and took complete control of the lead. Jeff remained out front to take home another win. It only looked as if Jeff's chances on winning were slim after the incident challenging for the lead and being sent to the rear, but in the eyes of Jeff Smith; Victory was the only option on this night.

May 18th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Carolina Speedway located in Gastonia, NC. on Friday May 18th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff set the quickest time of the night in qualifying to earn the pole for the feature event later that night. As the green flag fell Jeff took complete control of the lead and never looked back. Lap traffic played a factor in the 40 lap event causing Jeff to loose the lead on two different occasions, but Jeff made his way back out front to take home the win as the checkered flag fell.

May 12th
- Jeff Smith Racing competed at Tri County Speedway located in Brasstown, NC. on Saturday May 12th  for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff ended up 10th in qualifying. As the green flag dropped Jeff started to make his way toward the front. However Jeff had to go pit side around half way due to broken studs on the left rear wheel. The crew worked hard to get Jeff back out on the speedway without going a lap down, but failed to due so by one lap. Jeff was limited on brakes afterwards due to the problem that occurred, but Jeff was able to hold on for a 13th place finish as the checkered flag fell.

May 6th
- Jeff Smith Racing was scheduled to race on Saturday May 5th at Tri County Speedway located in Brasstown, NC.  for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event, but the event was rained out and has been rescheduled for Saturday May 12th. After the rain out at Tri County Speedway Jeff Smith Racing then rerouted to Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. for a $3,000 to win unsanctioned Super Late Model event. However the event was also rained out later that night at Fayetteville. The event was to be ran on Sunday, but due to high winds; The event had to be canceled for the weekend.


April 28th

Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Harris Motor Speedway located in Harris, NC. on Saturday April 28th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. Jeff ended up 6th in qualifying. Jeff was able to bring home a strong 5th place finish as the checkered flag fell.

April 27th - Jeff Smith Racing competed at Thunder Valley Speedway located in Lawndale, NC. on Friday April 27th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event paying $4,000 to win. As the green flag fell Jeff started to make his way to the front, but a flat left front tire would slow him down sending him to the pits. The crew went to work and got Jeff back out on the speedway with out going a lap down. Jeff raced his was back through the field one by one, but on the last lap Jeff cut down and right rear tire which result in a DNF for Jeff Smith Racing on this night.

April 20th - 21st - Jeff Smith Racing competed at Lowes Motor Speedway "The Dirt Track" located in Charlotte, NC. on Friday April 20th and on Saturday April 21st for a World Of Outlaw Late Model Series sanctioned event paying $50,000 to win. Jeff had to run a B-Main event to try to make into the feature. Jeff  had his #70 rocking and rolling trying to make his way toward the front, but got involved in wreck. This ended the night for Jeff Smith Racing.

April 14th - Carolina Clash Jeff set fast time in qualifying to earn the pole for the feature event later that night. As the green flag fell Jeff never looked back and took complete control of the lead. Jeff lead from start to finish to bring home the win. Jeff was able to take over the point lead as well for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series leaving event number 4 for the series.

April 7th - Jeff Smith Racing competed at Fayetteville Motor Speedway located in Fayetteville, NC. on Saturday April 7th for a unsanctioned Super Late Model event paying $2,000 to win. Jeff set fast time in qualifying to earn the pole for the feature event later that night. As the green flag fell Jeff never looked back and took complete control of the lead. Jeff lead from start to finish to bring home the win.

March 31st -  Jeff Smith Racing competed at 311 Speedway located in Madison, NC. on Saturday March 31st for two Twin 25 lap races paying $2,500 to win each. Jeff qualified 3rd. As the green flag fell on the first race Jeff made his way to the front and to take complete control of the lead. As the laps counted down Jeff was able to hold on to that number one spot and take home the win. An inversion took place for the second race as they inverted the top 10 finishers from the first race. This would put Jeff rolling off in that 10th starting spot for the second 25 lap race. As the green flag fell Jeff had his sights set on that number one spot once again and charged to the front. With two laps remaining Jeff took control of 2nd and held that spot till the finish.

March 24th -  Jeff Smith Racing competed at Gordon Park Speedway located in Augusta, GA. on Saturday March 24th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event. The team struggled through the night. Jeff qualified 8th and was able to bring home a 5th place finish as the checkered flag fell on the feature event.

March 17th - Jeff Smith Racing rolled into Lancaster Speedway located in Lancaster, SC. on Saturday March 17th for the second event of the season for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series paying $5,000 to win. Jeff qualified 5th in time trials. Jeff was able to bring home a strong 3rd place finish as the checkered flag fell.

March 10th - Jeff Smith Racing competed at Carolina Speedway located in Gastonia, NC. on Saturday March 10th for the first event of the season for the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series. Jeff was able to bring home a strong 4th place finish.
 

March 2nd - Jeff Smith Racing will not be in attendance at Cherokee Speedway on March 4th for the March Madness V event. The first race for Jeff Smith Racing will be at Carolina Speedway on Saturday March 10th for a Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series sanctioned event.

January 29th
- Team Jeff Smith Racing had a get together and dinner at Johnny Ratliff's on Saturday night Jan. 27th with good food, good friends, and good times. Johnny, along with his wife Sharon and his son Brian were the perfect hosts to the race team. Most, but not all of the team members were able to attend the event in Red Bank, SC. Each team member was presented with a wall plaque in appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the race team during the 2006 race season. I would personally like to thank Johnny and Brian for their support and friendship.
